The Craft Market Walk is an event inspired by the artisans, farmers and craftsmanship in and around Gardiner, NY.

Peruse through a one mile Craft Market Walk stretching from the Gardiner Library, to the Farmer's Market Grounds, across the Gardiner Rail Trail and onto the Yard Owl Craft Brewery! Enjoy handmade jewelry, vintage furniture, all-natural skincare, herbal remedies, farmhouse pottery, up-cycled clothing, small batch spirits, craft beer, local wine and all-day music, raffles and activities all along the way. This event is family-friendly and we encourage all ages to join in the Craft Market Walk festivities. Come for community, shopping, food, and fun!

WOW! What a great event LACE organized in Gardiner for all local craftspeople. The first annual Craft Market Walk was a great success and had a much larger turnout than I was expecting. I’m sure it will grow exponentially in the years to come. A perfect compliment to the town and its community.

The shapes and textures in my work come from everyday moments, like watching birds, afternoon shadows, or the feeling of coarse sand. I use traditional hand fabricated metalsmithing methods to create new minimalist and sculptural jewelry. Materials are silver, 18k gold, neoprene rubber, and the occasional Peruvian opal and Tahitian pearl.
I enjoy making work where the process informs how the shapes turn out. One example is my line of asymmetric paired loops, earrings that start from the same piece of metal, then split apart to make two elements that are not identical but relate to each other through the way they were made. Picture a long strip of linguini being cut lengthwise in a wavy line with each half becoming a looped earring and you will get the idea. I keep my methods relatively traditional but use them to create pieces that feel fresh, minimalist, and sculptural.

Adina Marguerite Pease is a creative who lives to wander, both geographically and within artistic mediums. Instead of specializing in just one medium, Adina maintains a portfolio of both digital and physical pieces – often mixing the two together to create her work. Most recently her workflow has focused on a series of watercolor and pen illustrations, which then transitions to inspire collections of digital pattern designs. The full breadth of her work also spans to photography and videography; her multimedia travel pieces have been featured by National Geographic, VSCO, AFAR, TripFilms, and Iceland Air Info Magazine. In further pursuit of her love of travel and creativity, she founded RambleGood – a purveyor of handmade travel goods with a cause, which uses her watercolor and pen work to create custom fabric hand sewn into functional goods.

ItsyBitsyThunderPaw creates personal handcrafted jewelry from all natural materials found on hikes, foraging, or our/friends' pets.

We specialize in using feathers which are always all natural, cruelty-free obtained, and carefully cleaned.

ItsyBitsyThunderPaw is created by Suzi and Rich. We started making jewelry for fun but decided that we really loved it and wanted to share our creations with the world (thank you, internet!). The name is inspired by our two dogs, Thunder Paw and Bitsy. Our creative inspirations came from our lovable hens! They would leave their feathers scattered throughout the yard and inside the coop. We started thinking to ourselves how beautiful they were and that something should be created with them instead of just putting them in the compost!

Thus began our jewelry business.

Creating 100% handcrafted body care products with our own recipes on premises. We make our own herbal-infused olive oils and our beeswax comes from Honeybrook Farms in Pine Bush.

We use high quality oils like olive, jojoba, coconut, grapeseed and sea buckthorn to name a few. Herbal-infused oils like arnica, st. johnswort and calendula are crafted on-site. We don't use poor grade oils like safflower, soybean, mineral or petroleum in our products.

Our product's aromas are created through the science of aromatherapy, pure essential oils. Pure essential oils are used not only for their wonderful fragrances but also for their medicinal properties. On occasion we do use phthalate-free fragrance oils due to prohibitive costs and plant species in danger of extinction like the sandalwood and rosewood trees.

Hester’s Studio creates handcrafted ceramics for the home, garden, and unique wearables. Nature that surrounds the studio in the Hudson Valley has heavily influenced the work. Hester draws inspiration from elements of daily life; landscapes, textiles, foliage, flowers and food. Hester strives to create simple pieces for everyday use with the desire to express the beauty with utility. Each piece is hand built with slab construction, using a strong white stoneware clay. Some pieces incorporate different elements such as repurposed leather and wood. Much attention is given to the layering of textures, creating asymmetrical compositions. Because everything is made by hand, no two pieces are exactly alike, each pieces imperfections are celebrated and this is what truly makes them one of a kind.

BlocART was started in 2010 by Cape Town artist Kenau Botha. Kenau studied Fine art (BA Fine Art, Mayor in sculpture) at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. Every piece of wood has history – coming from homes, gardens, broken furniture or discarded shelving. This is so obviously seen during the cleaning process – when the personal histories show themselves – sometimes in the nails or screws , the many layers of paint, the drawings of children on a skirting, or the chew marks from a pet, the stains from a workbench.

Every piece is put together, cut and finished by hand. With textures and history that each piece carries, every item is lovingly created from discarded materials. The application in itself is a tedious effort, and every piece speaks of the love and patience it has been crafted with.

Hunters Gathered Goods are created by Hunter Flood, a nature enthusiast and current student at the NY State University of Environmental Science and Forestry. She began Hunters Gathered Goods in January 2019 with the intention of bringing art and nature together. She focuses on the transitional behavior of nature creating six unique collages for each individual month of the year; each piece is created using materials hand collected and pressed from each individual month. She hopes to alter the relationship between humans and nature by creating a bridge from one world to another; art to nature and nature to art.

Beginning in April 2019, Hunter will donate 10% of all of each sale to the Natural Resource Defense Council, a non-profit international environmental advocacy group who seeks to ensure the rights of all people to the air, the water, and the wild.

Growing up in a rural community in Central Wisconsin, my relationship to the land defined my character. I learned to appreciate, respect, and admire the natural landscape through a series of early explorations. Since moving to New York’s Hudson Valley in 2011, the challenge of hiking the Catskill Mountains has become a focal point for my work in ceramics. My map series utilizes topographic imagery to capture the sense of playfulness and adventure that I have discovered during my recent explorations.

Cheyenne currently works for the Women’s Studio Workshop in Rosendale, NY and teaches ceramics classes throughout the Hudson Valley. She has continued her studio practice making functional ceramics, and has exhibited her work nationally.

High Gear Jewelry is based in the beautiful Hudson Valley and was created by Alissa Rose Theodor who is a stay-at-home mom of a 2 year old boy. Not only does she love her son and husband with all her heart, but she has a very strong passion for designing one-of-a-kind unique steampunk inspired jewelry.

Her creativity and drive to become a jewelry artist was inspired by her late grandmother, Janice. When Alissa was a little girl she would rummage through her grandmother’s drawer until she found the most perfect “imperfect” piece to wear.

Alissa uses lightweight mixed metal gear designs in each product. She has always envisioned her jewelry to be “conversation pieces”. With Alissa’s unique designs, she certainly accomplished that goal. Let’s get your conversation started!

In the words of her grandmother, “Wear it well.”

Kettleborough Cider House was born from Dressel Farms, a 450-acre apple farm in New Paltz, NY. Kettleborough's founder, Tim Dressel, grew up on the farm and is the 4th generation of Dressels to grow apples in New Paltz.

100% of the apples used to make Kettleborough Hard Cider come from trees on Dressel Farms. In addition to more than 20 varieties of your typical "dessert" apples (varieties like Red Delicious, McIntosh and Honeycrisp), Kettleborough has planted 22 varieties of apples specifically for use in hard cider.

We began producing small-batch hard cider in the summer of 2012. While we continue to perfect our trade and expand our business, our production remains extremely small and therefore our ciders are only available locally in the New Paltz, NY area. If you're in the Hudson Valley and your favorite beer or wine store does not carry Kettleborough, be sure to ask for it by name!

Franklin’s songs situate him in a long lineage of troubadours and poets, who manage to make sense of our nonsensical world, who tackle well-worn emotional territory from the kind of fresh perspective that makes it feel like virgin ground. He wrings every ounce of honesty and emotion from the music when he sings, delivering a series of intimate, unforgettable performances. At some turns a gentle tremble, at others an eerie, raspy wail, his voice is hopeful but experienced, weary but insistent, often sounding as if it’s lived dozens more lifetimes than the man it belongs to.
